Let's say an earthquake is happening, and you are slightly cautious of what's happening, but you continue to finish up your project because you are almost done. A couple years down the road, and you are now an executive of a successful startup and continues with the same attitude. And the cycle continues as you see more that needs to be done but all the while, you are blissfully happy, eager to get your day started, and you have everything you wanted in life. I believe that kind of life is what awaits those that are driven with a purpose.
What is exactly is driven with purpose? In my previous article, I talked about control and with endurance, you get discipline. I believe driven is discipline with a direction, which comes from purpose. I have already stated there is no real purpose to life aside from the necessary reproduction of life, so that means you have to define your own purpose.
Got no purpose? Yeah, I feel ya. Some people borrow other's and some just don't care. I transitioned thru probably all of them, and didn't solidify my purpose until I found discipline first. So, I would recommend start with that and when you find your purpose later, you got the chops to get it done. And I do believe it's only a matter of time that you do. Start with what you like and amplify it with discipline. When you push yourself beyond your limits, you will be amazed at what you can accomplish.
What's my purpose? I like to build things, so that's what I am going to do with discipline. Let's see what happens a few years down the line. :)
